Membership

Becoming a member of the Will County Beekeepers Association has a growing list of benefits. As a fairly new organization, we are still establishing many of our goals and activities. Your voice in our planning meetings and your time volunteering to further our reach is greatly appreciated. Here is what we can currently offer members:

  • Vote on organizational issues and in our election process
  • Ability to serve as an officer or on the board of directors
  • Membership into the Illinois State Beekeepers Association (a $10 value)
  • Attendance to our regular meetings, outings and activities
  • Education, mentoring and discussion with other local beekeepers
  • Access to a members-only area of our website
  • Access to our honey extractor
We are working on other benefits such as:
  • Assistance working with villages regarding beekeeping ordinances
  • Group discounts on bees and supplies
  • Participation in educational and competitive events

Member Map

Membership is $20 per adult and is valid from January 1 through December 31 of the current calendar year. If you are already a paid member of ISBA through another beekeeping organization, then your dues are $10 per adult. Children under 18 may hold non-voting memberships with a paid adult.

You may join at any time by filling out our membership request form online. We accept PayPal and credit cards online. You may optionally submit your payment by check to our mailing address or credit card/check/cash to our Secretary at our next meeting. We encourage all beekeepers in a family unit to become members but realize this is not always possible. Only paid members can vote on organizational issues and in our elections.
